I don't know

Is it reality, today (me being 58,balding, married for 29 years, 3 grand children, my own 2 kids out of school out on their own, I've gotten grey,out of shape,etc) or am I still on that acid trip I journeyed on back in 1975? And everything that occurred in the past 40 odd years is just a piece of the trip. Sort of sounds like a more modern episode of the Twilight Zone, or have I been a permanent resident of a psychiatric hospital these past years just waiting to come back to reality? Maybe this is my reality? 

Bell-bottom blue-jeans 7:20am

When I came of age in the 70's,1970's
It's now been years ago I guess it's been years, that's what they're saying
Although I don't know where the years went
I seem to have misplaced my favorite pair of bell-bottom blue-jeans
And maybe I didn't empty out my pockets
My heart was in those pockets
And now they're old, at least older
Not to mention it's 7:20am

it's already june 20th 2014

and in a minute or two it'll be Christmas
so you might as well start preparing.

It'll be June of 2015 soon enough

Remembering Nolan's light fixture

I can still see the look of wonder he had in his eyes as he looked up for the first time. I'd like to know exactly what he was thinking? Maybe it was something like,"what in the hell is that pappy?" Or maybe it was a question a little more complicated like "hey, I'm waiting for you to explain to me  exactly what I should be seeing, since I could probably tell you that light fixture is about the ugliest one, not to mention the only one I've ever seen and furthermore they don't even have lights where I come from and besides does it even work?" Well if it was re-wired it might.

Am I that old?

Just when I start thinking'"well I'm really not that old, I don't feel all that bad" I come across some web-site where they require some personnel information and it seems to take forever to reach my year of birth.ouch.i knowlonger recognize the names of movie actors, television actors or shows,  (the majority weren't even born when I was in high school). all(well maybe not all) the newer music sucks at least the majority,

When I look into the mirror I can hardly recognize the image, the reflection of my youth has disappeared. Thank you skin-tags,hair-loss and age.

Cold as a well digger's butt

It's January and it's almost always freezing, snowy, very little sun, it sort of makes me wonder why my ancestèr's choose a place like ohio to settle, although these past few days have been especially bad, with freezing temps(wind chill -35) snow, etc. I think I'll move.

Round 2: now it's 1-26-14 and they're saying two artic clipper's are coming our way. The first has passed and burr. You'd be nuts to live in ohio?

Jan.29: we've survived and burned loads of wood and propane and have February.,March and part of April to look forward to,too,two months too.

Aug.1,2014: I can hardly remember the winter or I can but I really don't care for the memory. Once again the wife and I made it through and now summer's practically over not to mention the year(2014).
